How to play

A puppy is lost on a giant keyboard. Your job is to get it across the keys and off the other end. Hold the game in landscape, move with the stick on the left of the screen and tap the button on the right to jump. That is every control in the game.

You start in the lobby, which is one big keyboard. Every key you step on earns you points. Walk forward from the lobby and the stages begin.

What can catch you out

• Lava bubbles up between the keys. Do not stand in it.
• Lasers sweep across the keys on a timer. Watch the rhythm, then move.
• Crushing walls slide in from the sides without much warning.
• Creatures roam some of the rows and will end your run on contact.
• Loose keys break under you a moment after you land on them.
• Treadmills push you backwards while you try to move forwards.

If the puppy gets caught, the stage starts again. Your level and your points are kept.

Common questions

Does the game need the internet?

No. Puppy Keyboard Escape works fully offline. It never connects to anything.

Are there ads?

No. There is no advertising anywhere in the game.

Are there any purchases?

No. The game is free and everything in it is free.

Does my progress save?

Yes. Your level, your points and your total steps are saved automatically as you play, and again whenever you leave the game. You always start back in the lobby, with your level and points as you left them.

I lost my progress

Progress is saved on your device only. Deleting the app removes it and there is no way to bring it back. We do not keep a copy on a server.

Can I move my progress to a new device?

Not at the moment. Because everything is stored on your device and there is no account, progress stays on the device it was made on.

How do I turn the sound down?

Use the volume buttons on your device, or the silent switch. There is no sound setting inside the game yet. We plan to add one.

The game is slow or it crashes

Close the app fully and open it again. If that does not help, restart your device. If it still happens, email us with your device model and your iOS version and we will look into it.

The controls feel too small or too large

The stick and the jump button are a fixed size in this version. Tell us how it feels on your device and we will use that when we adjust them.

Privacy

Puppy Keyboard Escape collects no personal information. There is no account and no sign up. Our privacy policy explains exactly what the game saves and where it stays.
